Contact Scoring Credits
Contact Scoring Credits
The Credits page is available to Owners only.
Purpose: Contact scoring runs a third-party quality check on a contact's phone number and email address, so you can see which records have valid, reachable contact information before you reach out.

How Contact Scoring Credits work
Scoring a contact uses one credit. You can score a contact from their record in the Sure Send web app, where you'll see Use 1 credit to score phone activity and contact quality.
Rescoring within 30 days is free. If the same contact details were scored in the last 30 days, Sure Send reuses the saved result and shows Contact score retrieved from cache (no credits charged). If you change the contact's name, phone number, email address, or address, those count as new details, and scoring again uses a credit.
Automatic scoring for new leads
A lead source can be set to score new leads automatically. A new lead from that source is scored once it has both a phone number and an email address. Each automatic score uses one credit, the same as scoring by hand.
Uses Contact Scoring Credits
- Scoring a contact from their record: one credit per contact.
- Automatic scoring of new leads: one credit per lead, when turned on for the lead source.
- Scoring changed details: one credit, even if the contact was scored in the last 30 days.
Does not use Contact Scoring Credits
- Rescoring the same details within 30 days.
- Viewing a score you already have.
- Contacts without a phone number: they cannot be scored.
- New leads from a lead source without automatic scoring, or leads missing a phone number or an email address.
Contact scoring is available in the web app, one contact at a time. It is not available in the mobile app or as a bulk action.
If your Contact Scoring Credits run out
- Scoring by hand: the score does not run, and you'll see You need at least 1 Contact Scoring Credit to score this contact.
- Automatic scoring: new leads that arrive while you are out of credits are not scored, and they are not scored later on their own. After you add credits, score them from their records.
Refunds
If a score cannot be completed, the credit goes back to your balance automatically.
Buying Contact Scoring Credits and expiration
Contact Scoring Credits are not included in Sure Send plans. You buy them on the Credits page as you need them. Purchased Contact Scoring Credits expire 365 days after purchase. When credits are within 30 days of expiring, the Contact Scoring Credit card on the Credits page shows how many and when.
Contact Scoring Credits on your Credits page
- Credits Breakdown: the Contact Scoring Credit card shows how many credits you have available.
- Your Credit Types: the Contact Scoring Credit card shows the cost per credit, your current balance, and the Buy Credits and Auto Top-up buttons. Empty means you have no credits left. Low means you have fewer than 100, or you have reached your auto top-up threshold.
- Recent Transactions: each score shows as Contact scoring for followed by the contact's name. A returned credit shows as Refund for failed contact scoring of followed by the name.
